Another new book! LITTLE TIGER and the FIRE
LITTLE TIGER and the FIRE, a retelling of an Indian folktale, is for KS1 pupils. Bold illustrations in full colour add to the fun of this ‘How the cat became’ story. Published in hardback in April, the paperback will follow soon.
BOW SCHOOL FOR BOYS – A SUPERB SCHOOL!
I was a bit apprehensive about this visit to Bow in East London. Two reasons – it was my first invitation to talk about INSIDE and well, Year 10 lads can be a tough audience. I needn’t have worried. These Y10s were GENTLEMEN! I was so impressed by their manners, their intelligence, and enthusiasm. They listened, they applauded my reading, they queued up to get their books signed. Victoria Park Books sold 154 copies of INSIDE! This school has succeeded in creating a reading culture and it was clear why. The School Librarian and English Department and other department all worked closely together and they had good relations with an excellent bookshop. This school buzzed.
